Richard Yanez Killed in Car Crash on 5 Freeway near Roosevelt Avenue in National City

National City, California (November 4, 2019) – 28-year-old Richard Yanez has been identified as the driver who was killed in a car accident in National City on Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened at about 1:20 p.m. November 2, on 5 Freeway near Roosevelt Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol said Yanez was driving a Ford Mustang Convertible when he collided with a trailer truck for unknown reasons.

Yanez was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to UC San Diego Medical Center where he died while undergoing treatment.
