Reuben Powers ID’d as Second Victim Killed in La Mirada Car Accident at Imperial Highway and First Avenue
La Mirada, California (June 5, 2020) – The second victim who died in a traffic accident last week Friday in La Mirada has been identified as Reuben Powers, 23, of La Mirada.
The fatal crash happened at about 5:40 p.m. Friday, May 29, in the area of Imperial Highway and First Avenue.
Authorities said a pickup truck collided with a Dodge Challenger at Imperial Highway and First Avenue for unknown reasons. The Dodge caught fire after the impact.
According to the reports, Powers and the other man, Philip Davis, 64, of Whittier, were both pinned inside the burning wreckage and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other people were taken to a local hospital in unknown conditions.
No further details about the accident were immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
