Driver Killed in Redwood City Crash on Highway 101 near Broadway

Redwood City, California (February 10, 2021) – One person was killed in a Sunday morning traffic accident in Redwood City, authorities said.
The deadly accident happened at about 6:48 a.m., on February 8, on northbound Highway 101 just south of Broadway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray Mazda MPV minivan was headed southbound in the northbound lanes when it collided with a Kenworth dump truck.

Sadly, the driver of the Mazda was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the big rig was not injured in the accident.
It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
