Man Killed in Car Accident on Highway 101 near Highway 254 in Redcrest
Redcrest, California (January 5, 2021) – A Redway man was killed in a car crash near Redcrest on Monday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal collision happened at about 5:17 p.m. January 4, on Highway 101 near Highway 254.
The man was driving a blue 2017 Chevy Silverado pickup truck in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 when he lost control and rolled down an embankment before hitting a tree.
The man, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The unidentified man was determined to have been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
