Man Seriously Injured in Redding Pedestrian Accident at South Bonnyview Road and Bechelli Lane
Redding, California (December 27, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle early Friday morning at an intersection in Redding, according to a local news source.
The Christmas Day accident happened at about 1:20 a.m. in the area of South Bonnyview Road and Bechelli Lane.
Police said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle that was heading westbound on South Bonnyview Road at Bechelli Lane. After hitting the pedestrian, the driver pulled over and called the authorities.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the pedestrian suffering from major injuries. The patient was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The name and current condition of the victim were not released.
The driver, only identified as a 32-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
