Woman Hospitalized after Redding Crash on Riverland Drive near Knighton Road
Redding, California (April 2, 2021) – A woman was injured in a Friday afternoon traffic accident in Redding, authorities said.
The major injury accident occurred at about 1:10 p.m. on Riverland Drive, just south of Knighton Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was trying to pass another car when she overcorrected, side-swiped a truck, lost control, and crashed into a pole.
The female driver sustained major injuries in the accident and was hospitalized for treatment.
One other person suffered minor injuries in the accident.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
