Redding, CA: At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Truck Crash on Highway 299 and Big Valley Summit

Redding, California (November 27, 2019) – At least one person sustained major injuries in a traffic collision involving two trucks in Redding Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The major-injury crash happened in the area of Highway 299 and Big Valley Summit just before 3:08 p.m. November 26.

The CHP said a pickup truck and a medium-duty delivery truck collided on the highway for unknown reasons.

Due to the impact, at least one person was trapped inside one of the involved vehicles.

The victim was extricated from the wreckage by emergency teams who arrived at the scene shortly after 3:08 p.m.

The initial report showed that the wreck resulted in major injuries.

The exact numbers of the injured victims and their identities have not yet been released to this time.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
