Redding, California (January 29, 2020) – A woman was killed in a suspected DUI car accident on Wednesday, January 29, in Redding.

The fatal collision happened on Highway 299 near Whiskeytown scales, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A suspected DUI driver was driving a Toyota pickup truck westbound when he collided head-on with a Chevy pickup truck.

The female driver of the Chevy was seriously injured in the collision.

Sadly, she died while being flown to the hospital.

The Toyota driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
