Redding Collision on South Bonnyview Road near East Bonnyview Road Injures 1

Redding, California (July 29, 2021) – Three people was injured following an alleged hit-and-run collision Sunday afternoon in Redding, the Redding Police Department said.
The four-vehicle accident happened at about 12:15 p.m. on S. Bonnyview Road, east of E. Bonnyview Road.
As per the RPD report, a white Ford Mustang driven by 26-year-old Anderson woman Angelica Gilchrist westbound on S. Bonnyview slammed into a Ford Fusion in the afternoon hours for undetermined reasons.
Due to the impact, the Ford Fusion then crashed into a Ford Edge, which then struck a Ford F-150.

Ford Fusion operator sustained major injuries following the collision.
Gilchrist and her passenger, who survived with moderate injuries, did not stop to render aid and attempted to flee the scene on foot.
Gilchrist was examined for her injuries before being arrested and placed into the Shasta County Jail for felony hit and run. She claimed she didn’t notice the three automobiles in front of her stopped at a red light.
Intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the accident.
