Man Dies in Rancho Santa Margarita Bicycle Accident at Oso Parkway and Antonio Parkway
Rancho Santa Margarita, California (July 22, 2019) — A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday afternoon at an intersection in Rancho Santa Margarita, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident, which was reported at about 1:48 p.m., happened at Oso Parkway and Antonio Parkway.
The California Highway Patrol said the bicyclist was hit by a white Dodge 3500 pickup or work truck at the Rancho Santa Margarita intersection for an unknown reason.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and found the injured cyclist lying in the roadway. The rider, only identified as a man in his 30s, was declared deceased at the scene by the coroner. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
According to the CHP, the pickup truck driver was also a man in his 30s.
A SigAlert was issued about 2 p.m. for the closure of the intersection as authorities investigated.
The crash remains under investigation by the authorities.
