Rancho Cucamonga, California (June 23, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday afternoon in a traffic collision on a freeway in Rancho Cucamonga, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash occurred at around 2:36 p.m. Tuesday, June 22 on the Interstate 210 Freeway at Haven Avenue.

The CHP said a motorcycle collided with a big rig on the freeway. After the impact, the rider was ejected from the bike and went underneath the truck. The bike came to rest on the freeway’s right shoulder.

A witness told the CHP the motorcyclist was weaving in and out of lanes prior to the collision.

Motorcyclist Killed in 210 Freeway Crash

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the rider was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Multiple lanes of the freeway were shut down as the investigation took place. It is undetermined whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
