Rancho Cordova Woman Dies in Sacramento County Crash on Highway 160 near Scribner Road
Sacramento County, California (May 3, 2021) – A woman was killed Saturday morning in a car crash in Sacramento County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly single-vehicle wreck was reported at about 9:20 a.m. Saturday, May 1 on Highway 160, just south of Scribner Road and south of the community of Clarksburg.
The CHP said a 2003 Dodge Durango was allegedly speeding northbound on Highway 160 when, for undetermined reasons, it drifted to the left and slammed into a guardrail.
The vehicle then rolled onto the west bank off the levee road.
Deadly Car Crash on Highway 160 in Sacramento County
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found a 24-year-old Rancho Cordova woman dead inside the vehicle. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
No further details about the accident were immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
