Ramon Sadiel Arrested after Redding Car Crash on I-5 near McCardle Flat Road

Redding, California (September 14, 2019) – Ramon Martinez Sadiel, 36, was arrested following a wrong-way traffic collision that left two people dead early Friday morning in Redding, according to the CHP.
The wreck happened at around 2:33 a.m. September 13, on Interstate 5, south of McCardle Flat Road.
CHP said a Dodge truck driven by Sadiel was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-5 when he collided head-on with an oncoming Ford truck.
The two occupants of the Ford were killed in the crash. Their names were not immediately released by the authorities.

Sadiel and his passenger were taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment.
Sadiel was later arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail on charges of vehicular manslaughter and DUI.
The crash is under investigation.
