Rajendra Prasad ID’d as Man Killed in San Bruno Pedestrian Accident on El Camino Real near Santa Lucia Avenue

San Bruno, California (January 11, 2019) – The man who was struck and killed by a vehicle while trying to cross a San Bruno street on a wheelchair Wednesday morning has been identified by the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office.
Rajendra Prasad, 70, of San Bruno died in the crash that happened at about 6 a.m. January 9 on El Camino Real near Santa Lucia Avenue.
Police said Prasad was crossing El Camino Real when a van traveling southbound struck him.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the van reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The San Bruno Police Department is investigating the crash.
