Rachael Fox Struck, Killed by Vehicle on 101 Freeway in Cahuenga Pass
Rachael Fox ID’d as Woman Killed in Cahuenga Pass Pedestrian Accident on 101 Freeway near Pilgrimage Bridge
Cahuenga Pass, California (July 7, 2021) – The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Bureau has identified the woman who died after being struck by a vehicle shortly after she was involved in a separate crash Monday morning in the Cahuenga Pass as Rachael Heather Fox, 47, of Los Angeles.
The initial crash occurred at around 4:40 a.m. Monday, July 5 on the southbound side of the 101 Freeway, just north of the Pilgrimage Bridge, and involved three vehicles.
Following the collision, one of the drivers, now identified as Fox, got out of her vehicle to check for damage and was hit by a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Adrian Castroramos, 22, of Los Angeles.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found Fox lying on the road with major injuries. Sadly, she was declared dead at the scene.
CHP determined that Castroramos, who sustained minor injuries, was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. He was ultimately arrested on suspicion of DUI.
At around 5:03 a.m., the California Highway Patrol issued a Sig Alert blocking all southbound lanes just north of the bridge.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
