Port Hueneme, California (April 21, 2201) – A teenage boy riding on a bicycle was struck and killed by a vehicle  Monday night in Port Hueneme,  according to a local news source.

The deadly bicycle accident occurred at around 9:28 p.m. Monday, April 19, on Ventura Road and Pleasant Valley Road.

As per the local news source, a dark sedan crashed into a group of seven juvenile bicyclists.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and found three teenage male cyclists who were injured as a result of the crash. One of the victims was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The other two patients were also transported to the hospital, one with major injuries and one with “significant lower body injuries,”

The involved driver fled the scene, but the vehicle was located in the 500 block of East Clara Street. The suspect, identified as Samuel Rocha, 28, of Port Hueneme, later turned himself in to police and was arrested.
