At Least 1 Killed in Pollock Pines Crash at Pony Express Trail
Pollock Pines, California (January 2, 2019) – At least one person was killed after a traffic collision Wednesday afternoon in the area of Pollock Pines, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The accident was reported at around 3:09 p.m. Wednesday, at 5649 Pony Express Trail.
As per the report, a red pickup truck and another car crashed for unknown reasons. The pickup truck overturned and blocked the roadway after the collision.
Responding officers confirmed that at least one person died as a result of the collision. The victim’s name was not immediately released awaiting notification of next of kin.
The vehicle sustained significant front-end damage and was towed away from the crash site.
Authorities mentioned that it appeared that the truck driver was probably driving recklessly before the collision.
An investigation is underway.
