Lineman Dies in Power Pole Fall along Highway 70 near Twain in Plumas County

Plumas County, California (July 24, 2019) – A linemen was killed and another injured in a fall from a power pole along a highway in Plumas County on Monday afternoon, according to the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident took place at about 4 p.m. July 22, along State Highway 70, west of Twain.

Deputies said the two men, who work for PAR Electric, were working on PG&E power lines when they tragically fell.

One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second worker was airlifted to Enloe Medical Center in Chico.

The accident is under investigation.
