Pleasanton, California (August 8, 2019) – At least one person died in a multi-vehicle accident that happened Wednesday night in Pleasanton, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident was reported at about 10:40 p.m. on eastbound 580 Freeway near the southbound 680 Freeway connector.

As per the CHP report, about five vehicles were involved in the collision.

At least one person was killed in the accident. It was not clear if any injuries were sustained in the crash.

Authorities closed the connector ramp from 580 Freeway to southbound 680 Freeway for an unknown period following the accident.

CHP is investigating the accident.
