Woman Injured in Placer County Pedestrian Crash on 80 Freeway near Truckee
Placer County, California (March 27, 2019) – A woman was struck and injured by a vehicle on Wednesday morning in Placer County, according to a police report.
The incident took place at about 7:36 a.m. on the Interstate 80 Freeway in Kingvale west of Truckee.
The California Highway Patrol said a woman was putting chains on her vehicle when a motorist reportedly struck her. The woman was thrown away from her vehicle and she landed underneath a truck.
Woman Injured in Placer County Pedestrian Crash
The woman sustained severe injuries and was taken to the hospital by the motorist who struck her.
The identity of the woman was not immediately released.
The crash is still under investigation.
