Man Killed in Pixley Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 near Avenue 96
Pixley, California (September 25, 2020) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday morning in Pixley, according to a local news source.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at about 4:50 a.m. Thursday, September 24, on Highway 99, just south of Avenue 96.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the man was attempting to walk across Highway 99 when he was hit by a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander that was heading northbound.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and was cooperative, the authorities said. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
