4 Injured in Piru Car Crash on Highway 126 near Center Street

Piru, California (March 4, 2019) – Four people were injured Saturday afternoon in a car accident in Piru, according to a local news source.
At about 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, the California Highway Patrol received a report regarding a traffic accident involving two vehicles on Highway 126, just east of Center Street. Highway 126 is also known as East Telegraph Road
According to the authorities, a white sedan collided with a black sports utility vehicle for an unknown reason on the highway. The force of the impact caused both vehicles to spin out of control.
The sedan came to a rest in the roadway while the SUV ended up in the ditch.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated one person from the wreckage. One person was airlifted to Ventura County Medical Center in unknown condition.
Three other people sustained unspecified injuries. Their names and conditions of the patients at this time remained unknown.
The crash remains under investigation.
