Oak Hills, California (July 28, 2021) – The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner has identified the man who died early Sunday morning following a traffic collision involving two vehicles in Oak Hills as Phillip Laurence Rincon, 40, of Rancho Cucamonga.
The deadly two-vehicle crash was reported at around 4:00 a.m. Sunday, July 25, on the Interstate 15 Freeway, just south of Oak Hills Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A silver 2007 BMW sedan reportedly collided with a gray Toyota sedan on the northbound side of the freeway.
After the collision, the two vehicles came to rest on the freeway’s right shoulder. Debris from the crash was scattered on the roadway.

Rincon was pronounced dead at the scene, despite life-saving measures performed by emergency personnel.
One other person was transported to Desert Valley Hospital in unknown condition.
It is undetermined if speed, drugs, or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
Further details regarding the crash were not immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
