Woman Killed in Phelan Pedestrian Accident on Phelan Road Near Baldy Mesa Road
Phelan, California (May 3, 2019) – A female pedestrian was struck and killed by car in a traffic accident in Phelan Thursday evening.
The pedestrian accident, which was reported at around 9:00 p.m. May 2, occurred on Phelan Road Near Baldy Mesa Road.
The accident happened when a blue 2016 Toyota Scion iM hit a female party on Phelan Road for reasons still under investigation. Due to the impact, the woman was thrown down on the roadway.
The accident resulted in significant injuries to the pedestrian. She was later pronounced dead at the scene. The authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased to this time.
The driver of the involved vehicle stopped after the accident and cooperated with the authorities.
Phelan Road was closed down in both directions while the police conducted the investigation.
The detectives handling the case are still gathering more details and evidence to identify the main cause of the collision.
