Man Killed in Phelan Head-On Crash on Phelan Road and Vinton Road
Phelan, California (May 6, 2019) – A man was killed in a collision between two vehicles early Monday morning in Phelan, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened at about 2:50 a.m. at Phelan Road and Vinton Road.
A preliminary investigation showed that a Mazda pickup truck may have been traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Phelan Road when it collided head-on with an oncoming Hyundai.

The driver of the Mazda, a 23-year-old Phelan man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver, a 22-year-old Pinon Hills man, was treated for minor injuries.
The crash cause is under investigation.
