Peter Kovtun Seriously Injured in Interstate 5 Crash
Blaine Man Hit and Seriously Injured by Car in Skagit County

Skagit County, Washington (December 7, 2019) – A 26-year-old man is nursing injuries he sustained when he crashed his car Saturday morning on Interstate 5 and was shortly after hit by another car, a local news source reported.
As per the article, authorities said Peter I. Kovtun was traveling southbound on the highway near the Alger Exit at about 2:00 a.m. when he lost control of his BMW.
The BMW hit the guardrail to the right then came to a rest in the left lane of the freeway.
Kovtun exited his car, and an SUV hit him and his BMW. The SUV was driven by Fu D. Ren of Vancouver B.C. Ren was not injured.
Authorities said drugs or alcohols were not factors in either crash, but the drivers were going too fast for conditions.
