2 Hurt, Benjamin Braunstein Arrested after Petaluma Bicycle Crash on Bodega Avenue
Petaluma, California (April 13, 2019) – A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI after an accident that injured two bicycle riders in Petaluma Friday morning, according to the CHP.
The accident was reported at around 7:25 a.m. April 12, on Bodega Avenue east of the Two Rock Valley Presbyterian Church.
CHP said Benjamin Braunstein, 28, of Santa Rosa, was driving a 2014 Ford Focus westbound on Bodega Avenue when he swerved to the right side and hit two bicyclists riding on the shoulder.
2 Riders Hurt in Petaluma Bicycle Crash; Benjamin Braunstein Arrested
The riders were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor-to-moderate injuries.
Braunstein was arrested after CHP determined that he was under the influence of drugs.
The crash is under investigation.
