Pedro Santarosa ID’d as 24-Year-Old St. Helena Man Killed in Yountville Crash on Highway 29 near Washington Street

Yountville, California (May 8, 2021) – Pedro Alexis Santarosa, 24, of St. Helena, has been identified as the man who was killed in a Friday night traffic accident in Yountville, authorities said.
The deadly accident transpired at about 9:00 p.m., on May 7, on Highway 29 south of Washington Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2003 Nissan Altima, driven by Santarosa, was headed southbound on the highway when it crossed a double-yellow line into oncoming northbound traffic.
Unfortunately, the Nissan collided with a 2011 Honda Pilot, operated by 43-year-old Joanne M. Ruggirello.

Sadly, Santarosa was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four parties in the Honda, including the driver, were injured in the accident. They were taken to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment.
Traffic on the Highway was stopped for two hours due to the accident.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
