Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle on 215 Freeway in San Bernardino
39-Year-Old Lake Elsinore Man Killed in San Bernardino Pedestrian Accident on 215 Freeway near 9th Street
San Bernardino, California (March 7, 2019) – A 39-year-old Lake Elsinore man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Wednesday morning in San Bernardino, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The tragic accident happened at about 3:11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6 on 215 Freeway, just north of 9th Street.
The CHP said the Lake Elsinore man was walking across the southbound lanes of the 215 Freeway when for an unknown reason he was struck by a van, a white Chevrolet Express driven by a San Bernardino resident.
Paramedics responded to the scene and declared the man dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
According to the CHP, the driver of the Express remained at the scene and complied with investigators.
No arrests were made. An investigation into the accident is underway.
