Encanto, California (June 10, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured in an Encanto hit-and-run crash that occurred on Imperial Avenue at 63rd Street on Wednesday night, according to the San Diego police.
A driver traveling west reportedly tried to beat a light before it turned to red and collided with a pedestrian who was attempting to walk across the street against a red light.
The accident happened at around 8:25 p.m. June 9.
The involved motorist fled the scene after the incident.

Police said the vehicle was dark in color. No other description of the vehicle was available.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
