Person Killed in Dixon Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 80 at Currey Road
Dixon, California (April 8, 2019) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle Monday morning in Dixon, according to a local news report.
The deadly accident, which was reported at around 8:12 a.m., happened on the westbound Interstate 80 at Currey Road.
As per the report, a silver Dodge Journey was traveling on the roadway when as of yet to be determined reason it struck the person.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified pending notification of family, was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and complied with the investigators. It was immediately unclear why the person was on the freeway.
The No. 3 lane and the off-ramp were shut down during the investigation and traffic was backed up to Dixon Avenue.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
