South Los Angeles, California (February 26, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday morning in South Los Angeles, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred at about noon on February 24, on 88th Place near Main Street.
According to the police, a car was headed westbound on 88th Place when it ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle that was driving northbound on Main Street.
The crash impact sent the suspect’s vehicle crashing into a pedestrian who was crossing Main Street, the officials said.

Sadly the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passengers in the involved vehicle fled the scene and are being sought by the police.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
