Pedestrian Killed in San Francisco Car Crash at Higuera Avenue and Lake Merced Boulevard
San Francisco, California (February 4, 2021) – A pedestrian died in a multi-vehicle collision that left several drivers injured in San Francisco on Thursday morning.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 8 a.m. in the area of Higuera Avenue and Lake Merced Boulevard.
Eight vehicles were involved in the collision. The circumstances of the crash were not immediately established.
The authorities said a pedestrian was struck by one of the cars and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the pedestrian was not immediately disclosed.
Five people including the driver suspected of hitting the pedestrian were hospitalized with non life threatening injuries.
One person was arrested in connection with the accident.
