Pedestrian Killed in Encinitas Train Crash near North Coast Highway 101 and Leucadia Boulevard
Encinitas, California (June 4, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Encinitas on Friday afternoon, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
The accident occurred just before 2:58 p.m. near North Coast Highway 101 and Leucadia Boulevard.
Deputies said a person was hit by a Coaster train in the area.
Pedestrian Killed in Encinitas Train Collision
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the pedestrian was immediately available.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
