Pedestrian Killed in San Rafael Accident on Fourth and G Streets
San Rafael, California (May 19, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in San Rafael on Tuesday morning, according to the San Rafael Police Department.
The accident took place at Fourth and G streets at around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18.
According to the report, a white box truck traveling north on G Street struck a pedestrian who was walking west at a crosswalk at the intersection.
Police officers who responded to the accident performed life-saving measures on the victim. However, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Pedestrian Killed in San Rafael Accident
The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
The driver of the box truck stayed at the scene after the accident.
Police said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The San Rafael Police Department is investigating the collision.
