Man Injured in Otay Mesa Pedestrian Accident on Beyer Boulevard
San Diego, California (April 12, 2020) – A 69-year-old man was struck and injured by a car on Saturday night in Otay Mesa, San Diego.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the 3000 block of Beyer Boulevard at around 8:45 p.m. April 11.
A 19-year-old man was driving a 2001 Mercedes-Benz C240 northbound on the highway when it struck the man who was walking in the No.1 lane.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for treatment of major injuries including open fractures to his left tibia and fibula
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be the factors in the pedestrian accident.
The accident remains under investigation.
