76-Year-Old Paula Matos Dies in Modesto Pedestrian Accident on Standiford Avenue

Modesto, California (February 12, 2019) – A 76-year-old Modesto woman was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident on Monday morning in Modesto, according to a local news source.
Paula Matos died in the fatal collision that happened at an unspecified time on February 11 along Standiford Avenue.
As per the report, Matos was driving east on Standiford near Polaris Street when she pulled over to the right side and got out of her Chevrolet Malibu for an unknown reason.
One driver was able to see Matos and drifted sideways to avoid her. The second vehicle, a Nissan Rogue, apparently failed to move and ended up striking Matos.
Matos died as a result of the accident.
The identity of the Nissan driver was not immediately released.
Police are investigating the incident.
