Patrick Larkin Among Several Injured in Burney 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 299 near Fir Street

Burney, California (May 1, 2019) – Patrick Larkin, 28, was among several people injured in a two-vehicle crash that involved a Forest Service truck on Tuesday evening in Burney, as per a local news source.
The incident took place at about 5:12 p.m. April 30, on Highway 299 near Fir Street.
The California Highway Patrol said a forest service vehicle and a Lexus were involved in the crash. A woman driving a 1996 Lexus sedan veered into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the Forest Service truck, a 2008 International.
The impact caused the truck to overturn onto the embankment.
Patrick Larkin Among 11 Injured in Burney Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 299
Larkin was among the passengers in the service struck. He suffered major injuries and was taken to Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding. One other passenger in the service truck and the driver of the Lexus were taken to Mercy Medical Center in Redding with major injuries.
Eight other people, including the driver of the service truck, were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
The incident is under investigation.
