45-Year-Old Patricia Vega Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Crash on Edison Highway near Mount Vernon
Bakersfield, California (October 28, 2019) – The pedestrian who was killed in an auto-pedestrian collision on Saturday night in East Bakersfield has been identified as Patricia Vega, 45, according to the coroner’s officials.
According to CHP, the crash happened at around 10:30 p.m. October 26, on Edison Highway just east of Mount Vernon.
CHP said Vega was hit by a truck. The circumstances under which the collision occurred were not immediately established.
Vega died in the crash.
A woman was taken into custody after the incident. It’s unclear whether the woman was involved in the crash.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the collision.
