Pedestrian Killed in Paso Robles Crash near 13th Street Overpass
Paso Robles, California (September 20, 2019) – A man was fatally run over by a city maintenance vehicle on Thursday morning in Paso Robles, according to the authorities.
The incident happened at around 10:30 a.m. September 19, on a dirt road near the 13th Street overpass.
Authorities said a Paso Robles city public works truck ran over a man who was lying on the ground. The dirt road leads to a riverbank where many homeless people live.
Man Killed in Paso Robles Pedestrian Crash
The victim, a man in his 20s or 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police said alcohol and drugs were unlikely factors in the crash. The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and notified the authorities.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
