Parker Sullivan Hospitalized after Placer County Crash on Placer Hills Road near Pinewood Way
Placer County, California (March 19, 2021) – Parker J. Sullivan, 20, of Meadow Vista, was injured after being involved in a deadly head-on collision Friday morning in Placer County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
At about 6:05 a.m., authorities responded to Placer Hills Road, just north of Pinewood Way, for a report of a traffic accident.
The CHP said a Subaru, driven by Sullivan, was heading northbound on Placer Hills Road when, for unknown reasons, the Subaru veered partially into the opposite lane directly in front of a southbound Ford.
Both vehicles eventually collided head-on. After the impact, the Ford went off the road into a dirt embankment and rolled over.
Deadly Car Accident on Placer Hills Road in Placer County
Sullivan was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
The Ford driver, whose name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin, was declared dead at the scene.
Authorities blocked the roads for nearly two hours as they conduct an investigation. Neither alcohol nor drugs were considered a factor in the accident.
