Woman Killed in Palmdale Accident at 28th Street East and Avenue S

Palmdale (April 20, 2019) – A 65-year-old woman was killed in a traffic collision Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Palmdale, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at around 4:26 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 28th Street East and Avenue S.
As per the report, the female driver had stopped her 2004 Mitsubishi Spyder for the stop sign northbound on 28th Street East.
At the same time, 18-year-old Palmdale resident was driving a 2013 Audi A6 east on Avenue S and its driver tried to turn right onto 28th Street East. The Audi motorist failed to manoeuvre the turn and broadsided the Mitsubishi at the junction.

Responding paramedics rushed the woman to Antelope Valley Hospital where she was later declared dead. The victim’s name has not been yet been released awaiting notification of next of kin.
The male teen driver sustained a minor lip laceration and was treated.
An investigation is ongoing.
