Palmdale, California (February 3, 2020) – 39-year-old Palmdale man has been identified as the person killed after a Palmdale head-on collision on Saturday night, according to a local news source.

The collision occurred at about 8:20 p.m. Saturday, February 1, on 170th Street East, north of Avenue R.

As per the report, a 60-year-old Llano man was heading northbound on 170th Street East in a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 while at the same time 39-year-old Palmdale man was heading south in a 2007 Nissan Frontier. The Dodge then drifted into the southbound lane for unknown reasons and it crashed head-on into the Nissan.

Firefighters along with medical personnel declared the Frontier driver dead at the crash site. A 29-year-old Palmdale woman riding in the Frontier was rushed to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment of severe injuries.

The Llano man was also hospitalized with severe injuries in the same hospital.

The names of the victims were not immediately released.
