Jose Fuerte Killed in Oxnard Car Accident at Bard Road and Davis Court

Oxnard, California (March 24, 2021) – 28-year-old Jose Gutierrez Fuerte, of Oxnard, has been identified as the man who died following a two-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon in Oxnard, as per the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office report.
The deadly fiery crash took place near the intersection of East Bard Road and Davis Court at about 2:35 p.m. March 18.
A 2003 Nissan 350Z driven by Gutierrez westbound on Bard Road, east of Saviers Road crashed with a 2003 Ford Explorer in the afternoon hours.
Both cars were reportedly heading westbound on Bard at high speed prior to the collision.
Due to the impact, the automobiles swerved into the eastbound lanes, slammed into a tree and caught fire.

Gutierrez Fuerte was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ford Explorer operator, a 30-year-old Oxnard man, was hospitalized at Ventura County Medical Center with minor injuries.
The Oxnard Police Department is still investigating the cause of the accident.
