Motorcyclist and Driver Seriously Injured in Oxnard Crash on Vineyard Avenue near Simon Way

Oxnard, California (February 7, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday night motorcycle accident that left two people seriously injured in Oxnard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the major injury crash happened at about 7:08 p.m., on February 6, on Vineyard Avenue north of Simon Way, near Carnegie Street.
A motorcycle and vehicle, possibly a Toyota Camry, collided on the roadway in unclear circumstances, the CHP said.
First responders reportedly arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist down in the middle of the road and a vehicle in one of the lanes. The driver of the vehicle was trapped in the car.

The motorcyclist was taken to Ventura County Medical Center by ambulance. The driver had reportedly been pulled from the car shortly after 7:30 p.m.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
