Rider Killed, 27-year-old Woman Injured in Oxnard Motorcycle Accident at Ventura Road and Gonzales Road
Oxnard, California (June 25, 2020) – One person was killed and other injured in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday afternoon in Oxnard, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 4:40 p.m., on June 24, at the intersection of Ventura Road and Gonzales Road.
As per the police report, a 2007 Honda motorcycle was traveling southbound on Ventura Road from Gonzales Road when, for unknown reasons, it collided with 2015 Toyota Prius.
The Toyota was reportedly completing a left turn onto Anna way from northbound Ventura Road when the crash occurred.
Fatal Motorcycle Accident at Ventura Road and Gonzales Road in Oxnard
The motorcyclist was transported to Ventura County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The Toyota driver, a 27-year-old woman from Oxnard, sustained minor injuries. She remained at the scene and was cooperating with the authorities.
Following the accident, the southbound side of Ventura Road at the intersection of Gonzalez Road was closed for an unknown period.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
