Bicyclist Badly Injured in Oroville Crash at Highway 162 and Oakvale Avenue
Oroville, California (January 14, 2019) – A bicyclist was struck and badly injured by a vehicle Monday morning at an intersection in Oroville, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 8:16 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 162 and Oakvale Avenue.
The CHP said the unidentified bicyclist was heading southbound on Highway 162 when they were hit by a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Oakvale Avenue.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and complied with investigators.
The bicyclist sustained major injuries and was taken to a local trauma center. The name of the victim and their condition at this time remained unknown.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
