Police Officer Dale Rush Injured in Fresno Pedestrian Accident on Highway 198 at Ben Maddox Off-Ramp

Fresno, California (August 4, 2020) – A Visalia police officer was struck and injured by a vehicle Monday morning in Fresno, according to a local news source.
The crash occurred at about 8:00 a.m. Monday, August 3, on Highway 198 at the Ben Maddox exit.
Authorities said an inattentive driver hit Officer Dale Rush while he was pulling a car over the Ben Maddox off-ramp.
The unidentified man was driving his vehicle when, for unknown reasons, he failed to stop for traffic and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then crashed into a trailer that was being towed by the car, which struck Rush.
Officer Rush was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries. His current condition was not immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
