Two Women Hit and Injured in Oceanside Crash on Rancho Del Oro Drive near MiraCosta College
Oceanside, California (April 17, 2019) – Two women were taken to trauma centers after a vehicle accelerated and struck them on Tuesday evening in Oceanside, police said.
The crash was reported at about 5:30 p.m. April 16, at Villa Trieste, Rancho Del Oro Drive west of MiraCoasta College.
The Oceanside police said an elderly man was going to pick up his wife at a retirement community. The man hit the accelerator instead of the break and struck his wife and a second woman standing outside at a game of bridge.
Two Hospitalized after Oceanside Accident
The victims sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. One of the women was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego for treatment.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash is still under investigation.
