Oakland, California (September 12, 2020) – A 43-year-old man died at the hospital after being struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver Thursday morning in North Oakland, a local news source reported.

The fatal pedestrian collision was reported at approximately 6:11 a.m. in the 3900 block of Telegraph Avenue.

Officials said the man was hit by a vehicle that was possibly exiting a parking lot in the morning hours.

The involved driver left the pedestrian laying down in the street on Telegraph Avenue after the mishap.

Meanwhile, the male party died at the hospital at about at 1:18 p.m.

It was not mentioned whether alcohol played a role in the wreck.
